The following recalls have been announced

About 8,600 handlebar stems used on Salsa bicycles, manufactured in Taiwan and imported by Salsa Bicycles, a subsidiary of Quality Bicycle Products of Bloomington, Minn. They are recalled because the stems can crack or break, putting the rider at risk of falling. The company has received three reports of broken handlebar stems. One incident resulted in a broken wrist. They were sold by Specialty bicycle retailers around the country between November 2007 and December 2008. The aftermarket stems were sold online and at specialty bicycle retailers around the country between March and December 2008. _ Goya Foods Inc. is recalling 12-ounce packages of dried yellow potato, or "papa seca amarilla," UPC 041331050562, because they contain sulfites not listed on the label. This could be dangerous for those with sulfite sensitivity. No illness has been reported. The recalled dried potato is a product of Peru. It was sold nationwide. Details: by phone at 800-275-4692.
