Product Recalls: digital clamp meters

The following recall has been announced:


_About 52,000 Fluke digital clamp meters, made in China by Fluke Corp., of Everett, Wash., because the meters could give an inappropriate voltage reading. This can result in the operator falsely believing the electrical power is off, posing a shock, electrocution or thermal burn hazard. The company has received three reports of clamp meters displaying an incorrect voltage reading. No injuries have been reported. The recalled products were sold at industrial distributors, electrical wholesalers and some hardware stores nationwide from January 2008 through February this year.
