Four bodies have been recovered in the Florida Everglades, days after authorities believe they died when two small planes collided in the air.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said Monday it recovered the bodies of Bryan Sax of Aspen, Colo., Stuart Brown of Pembroke Pines, Edson Jefferson of Miramar and Andrew Rossignol of Stuart.

The planes departed Saturday on training flights from Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood airports. The wreckage was spotted the next morning in the swampy area about 25 miles west of Fort Lauderdale.

A Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman says authorities believe the planes collided because their wreckage was found very close together and both seemed headed for a flight-training zone. They were not under air traffic controllers' guidance.
